The basis of trial and error. Rapid death, mischievous at the same time stimulating. In 1989 inspired fable Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp , one of the stories Thousand and One Nights was transferred to the universe of the pixel resulting in a game that few would dare not to catalog a classic. Prince of Persia created by the author of the forgotten Karateka, Jordan Mechner , was able to break with the concept of platformer Super Mario Bros that even taking advantage of the characteristics of the environment, giving priority to the presence of enemies screen as an obstacle to the progress of the protagonist. Prince of Persia was able to change this dynamic to make the living environment in a lion's den, where our character had to circumvent all the pitfalls perfectly designed to skew life at the most inopportune of adventure. In this context, the guards "enemies of the game appeared to be a part of this monstrous gear, but not nearly represented the strength of the tremendous difficulty of the title property. Rather served as a source of location within the small but labyrinthine game scenarios.
Almost 20 years later, Prince of Persia Classic brings the living heart of this cult of the two dimensions, and does so with a new look whose origin lies in the designs created in the past generation, when Prince reborn from the ashes thanks to Ubisoft and surprised us with that great and undervalued Prince of Persia The Sands of Time . Prefer not to refer to Prince of Persia 3D . Well, what gives us this remake of the old title? At first glance, not much, since it is effectively the same work, with a more than decent polished graphics, a remarkable work of lighting, and fantastic animations (as it was the 1989 game, captured from a real person). However, I can not do more than the title strongly recommend to everybody.
The reasons, I leave them there. At a time when raw speed of play over the player's concentration, Prince of Persia Classic back to the past in just 10 seconds to play. Recover the ancient pinpoint accuracy and our symbiosis with the die pad or skewered as kebabs. This is the law enacted by Prince of Persia Classic, a challenge that will suffer again and again despite remember that when we were kids, we fell into the same trap. The new moves with the sword and, shall we say, desperate and 'modern' struggles will only encourage an uneasiness buried in our brains, now accustomed to free and let your hair down with the Guitar Hero notes .
Prince of Persia Classic is not therefore just a remake, it is a reunion with that player within us, which was launched more than a command to the ground and then had inspected carefully hoping not to find somewhere really grated or destroyed. A declaration of love to the player always also dares to challenge the newcomers, possibly sector pull the towel before you can save our beloved princess in the 60 minutes of madness that is proposing the game. Or not.
For you see that are not so bad, the guys at Ubisoft have deigned to include checkpoints that facilitate the task between parts of the stage. That does not mean at all, that Prince of Persia Classic again with the same force and magic to seduce us again.
